As we continue to expand the foundation of Illinois High School Democrats, it is necessary to have leadership specializing in each area of the state. Currently the State of Illinois is divided into fifteen districts, with each district having one District Director. District Directors are responsible for over seeing the development and sustainability of chapters in in their district. We are now accepting applications for the districts listed below.

We are excited to announce the second annual Young Democrats of America High School Leadership Academy on July 17-20, 2011 in Washington, D.C. This unique four-day summer camp will focus on developing the next generation of YDA leaders and progressive activists. Learn More

We are very excited to invite you to join us in Louisville, Kentucky on July 27 - 30, 2011 for the Young Democrats of America Bi-annual National Convention. This is the largest and most important event YDA hosts every two years.
The convention will provide an opportunity for young activists from across the country to come together, share ideas, participate in trainings and begin to mobilize for the 2011 and 2012 elections.
