President's Address to Students
We are excited to announce the first ever Illinois High School Democrats Leadership Trainings on July 24th, July 31st and August 7th across our great state. These unique trainings will focus on developing the next generation of young leaders and Democratic activists.
Students will participate in leadership workshops, training exercises and will be introduced to the State’s top Democratic officials and Party leaders. IHSD will provide an inside view of elections, grassroots organizing, interest groups, youth involvement in politics as well as how the students can affectively assist their county Democratic Party’s. Students must be nominated by their Democratic County Chairmen to attend.

This summer the Illinois High School Democrats will be holding a series of student leadership training session acrost the state. The training dates can be viewed by clicking here. Student and adult leaders are needed to help with these events. It is clearly election season. Young Democrats are working at all levels of government to elect a new brand of progressive leaders to push for the values of the Democratic Party. Join the YDA in Washington, DC on July 16-18 to share your experiences and learn from others as we focus on the 2010 elections.
