High school students are the future of the Democratic Party and it is important that we invest our time and resources into our base. In the 2008 Elections young people across every state and county turned out in record breaking numbers for then Senator Barack Obama, resulting in an astounding landslide victory. Students realized that once united they truly were the margin of victory and that their votes made the difference. Standing together now high school Students in Illinois can do just that, be the margin of victory!
Through creating a new chapter in your school or community you're opening the door to a host of endless possibilities. Through partnering with other students and starting a chapter you not only learn about issues affecting the yoth but more importantly you leaern about how to tackle those issues face on. If you are interested in working with campaigns, talking amongst your peers about the issues important to teens or even if you just want to surround yourself with like minded people, then this is the program for you!
